Education data, teacher recruitment focus of Gov.'s weekly address

Gov. Markell discussed the importance of recruiting strong teachers and use of data in improving education within the state during his latest weekly address.

Markell says that using data can help ensure Delaware has the best teachers, but also assists in tracking students' progress as they learn--some he saw while recently visiting elementary and middle schools.

"The new data, and the time they're given to interpret that data with their colleagues are invaluable assets to improve their collective ability to teach effectively and in turn, keep Delaware students moving forward," Markell says.
