New Castle County police have arrested cousins who they say were running a drug operation in Edgemoor Gardens.

Police say Andre Laws and his cousin, Davern Laws, were parked outside of a vacant home on Pennewell Drive.

Police say they stopped Andre Laws because he didn't have a valid driver's license. During the stop officers found synthetic marijuana and 15 bags of heroin packaged for sale. The officers also seized more than $700 in suspected drug money.

The Mobile Enforcement Team later found the subject's cousin Davern Laws with nearly two dozen bags of heroin that were also packaged for sale.

Both are behind bars in Howard Young after failing to post bail.
