The office's Consumer Protection Unit will hold a shredding event Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at William Penn High School in New Castle.
People can take up to three boxes of documents to be safely shredded on site.
The Attorney General says shredding documents that contain personal information is the best way to protect yourself from fraud and identity theft.
Last year, 369,000 cases of identity theft were reported nationwide.
