The state Office of Highway Safety is targeting aggressive drivers starting Tuesday. Spokeswoman Alison Kirk says there's also an education component.
"People can go online and take a fun little quiz to see what type of driver they are, and they can learn about the violations and the penalties for aggressive driving," she said.
The top aggressive driving behavior that causes crashes is failure to yield the right-of-way.
"People might not know that you get 6 points on your license if you're convicted of aggressive driving, and you also have to take a drive behavior modification class, which is not very fun," she said.
There have been 24 fatal crashes this year, eight of which were caused by aggressive driving behaviors.
There will be four two-week mini waves of enforcement beginning May 7th and ending in September.
