Man connected to Meth lab, jailhouse flood
By Chris Carl

A New Castle man is not only facing drug charges for allegedly having a meth lab in his bedroom, he's accused of causing $10,000 in damage to the county police headquarters.

Vernon English was arrested Tuesday after police raided his Manor Park East home.

Police say they could smell marijuana at his home and in his car.

After getting a search warrant, they found the alleged meth lab, along with pot, six guns and suspected drug money.

A DNREC Hazmat Unit was called to take care of the chemicals.

While in his holding cell awaiting arraignment, English allegedly grabbed a sprinkler head - causing it to break and flood the area with several inches of water.
