An arrest has been made in a stabbing earlier this week in Wilmington.

Police say Carlos Rivera of 6th Avenue is charged with assault and weapons possession in an attack on a 21-year-old man.

The two were arguing near Lancaster Avenue and West Van Buren Street on Tuesday when the victim was knifed in the head and left arm.

A follow up investigation led to Rivera as the suspect.

He was taken into custody without incident Thursday.
