Baker's former chief of staff to lead Del. Zoological Society
By Mellany Armstrong

Bill Montgomery
Former Wilmington Mayor Jim Baker's ex-chief of staff has a new job.

Bill Montgomery is now executive director of the Delaware Zoological Society, a new position created by the board.

Board President Megan McGlinchey says Montgomery brings 30 years of executive management experience in state and local government, and has served on the boards of several nonprofit organizations.

Montgomery stepped down from his job as chief of staff to run for mayor after Baker's last term. He lost to Dennis Williams.

The Delaware Zoological Society supports the mission of the Brandywine Zoo.
