PA tech company to make $1B investment at Chrysler site

A company across the state line is planning a massive investment at the former Chrysler plant in Newark.

Data Centers in West Chester plans to put one-billion-dollars towards a data storage and management facility at the University of Delaware-owned site.

Data Centers was granted 7-million-dollars from the DEDO's Infrastructure Investment Committee for the Wolf Technology Center.

The Pennsylvania-based company has also agreed to some campus improvements including a new substation and new gas lines

Construction is slated to start this summer on the project that's expected to bring hundreds of jobs in the technology sector.
