Accused sex offender to get new trial
By Associated Press

A Delaware man convicted of unlawfully touching a teenager at a sleepover party is getting a new trial.

The Delaware Supreme Court reversed the sex-offense convictions of Steven Schwan, a registered sex offender, and sent the case back for a new trial.

The court says the trial judge didn't properly question a juror who knew a state prosecutor who was not involved in the Schwan case.

That prosecutor brought her children to a child care center run by the juror.

Schwan, of Kent County, had been accused of improperly touching a teenage girl who was at his home for a sleepover party.
