Meth lab bust in Sussex Co.
By Associated Press

State Police says the Sussex County drug unit has charged seven people after a months-long investigation into a methamphetamine lab at a Georgetown house.

Police and firefighters went to a home on South DuPont Boulevard in Georgetown early Tuesday to execute a search warrant. Police say investigators arrested six people at the home and found component mixtures of the manufacturing stages of methamphetamine and key ingredients in making the drug.

Police say all six people were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, conspiracy and drug paraphernalia possession. The owner of the home later surrendered to police. He faces the same charges, plus weapons charges.

Police say the lab was safely dismantled and removed from the home.
