By Lauren LiBetti

Police say a Newark woman attempted to rob six stores on Saturday morning by threatening employees with a concealed weapon, which was really just a candy bar underneath her shirt.

Melissa Hutchison allegedly demanded cash at multiple gas stations and coffee shops. She used various items, including a candy bar and sunglasses, to imitate a weapon.

Hutchison walked away with cash from only one store.

She faces six charges of attempted robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.

Hutchison is behind bars at Baylor.
