Drug trafficker sentenced to 15 years
By Carl Kanefsky

A Wilmington man will spend the next 15 years behind bars for his role in an international drug trafficking conspiracy.

Charles Oberly, U-S Attorney for Delaware, says 35 year old Kevin Cook ran an operation that recruited drug couriers to travel to Panama in order to smuggle cocaine and heroin into the United States.

Oberly also says Cook ran a crack cocaine distribution network in Wilmington, and obtained more than 100 grams of heroin from a Texas source, who in turn imported heroin directly from the country of Afghanistan.
