By Sean Greene 12:33am, June 25, 2013Wesley seniors Jared Morris and Sean Hopkins earned first team spots and Leon Jones is projected as a third teamer on the Beyond Sports Network Division III All-American Team.
Morris attained six of Wesley's program-record 26 interceptions last season, including four in the season-opener against East Texas Baptist, the first game the safety played on defense after being converted from wide receiver. He was third on the team with 76 tackles with 8 coming for loss.
Hopkins, from Sussex Central, led Division III with 18.6 yards per punt return last year, including five over 40 years. He recorded a touchdown against Huntingdon.
Jones was a BSN All-American in 2011, a season capped by a remarkable 99-yard interception return in the 2nd round against Linfield to help turn around a 20-point halftime deficit into a victory.
Wesley opens its 2013 schedule at home on Friday, September 6 when they play the first scheduled night game in program history against Widener at 6pm at Miller Stadium.
