Charter School of Wilmington's Jordan Wood will face off with some of the top lacrosse players in the country at the 2013 Brine National Lacrosse Classic this weekend.

Wood, who was named a National High School All-American by Brine, will be part of a Pennsylvania-based team competing in the national tournament.

Players were selected to be one of the 1,300 athletes invited by attending and excelling at a regional tryout.

Jordan will be one of three Delaware athletes at the tournament, being joined by Salesianum's AJ Witherell and Caesar Rodney's Kevin Sheahan.

The tournament, which gives the players a chance to play in front of college coaches and scouts, takes place in Boyds, Maryland midway between Frederick and Washington, D.C.
