Blue Rocks washed out by storm
By Sean Greene

Friday night's heavy rain left the Blue Rocks no choice but to postpone their homestand-opening contest with the Potomac Nationals.

The storm, which dumped at least four inches of rain in some parts of New Castle County and flooded major arteries left the field unplayable Friday night.

Wilmington and Potomac will make up the game with a pair of seven inning contests Saturday night at 5pm.

The scheduled fireworks display will be rescheduled, but not for Saturday's games. Ticket holders for Friday's game can exchange their tickets for another game within a calendar year.
