Felton man charged with sixth DUI offense

A Felton man was charged with his sixth DUI offense after crashing his truck Saturday evening.

Police say, Vincent Ware Jr., drove his 2001 Ford F150 on and off the roadway before striking the side of a ditch on Turkey Point Road.

Police say, Ware, who was not properly restrained was ejected from the vehicle.

Ware was transported to Kent General Hospital and treated and released for minor injuries.

Police say, Ware was charged with a DUI, careless driving, failing to wear a seatbelt, and not having an insurance I.D. present. He was committed to the Vaughn Correctional Center on more than $10,000 cash bail.
