Drugs discovered during traffic stop
By Michelle Provencher

New Castle County Police say a traffic stop led to a drug arrest Friday night.

Officers say 30-year-old Kelly Hand was pulled over for not using a turn signal around 11 p.m. in the Red Clay Creek Apartments, where Hand resides.

Police soon discovered Hand had his license suspended and revoked, and was also wanted on an outstanding Court warrant for not paying a fine.

Authorities say the officers located nine grams of marijuana in Hand's car.

Hand was arrested and released on $3,000 unsecured bond.
