Rehoboth officer cleared by state in April Taser incident
By Joe Irizarry

The Delaware Department of Justice has found that a Rehoboth Beach Police Officer was justified in using a Taser and kicking a suspect resisting arrest.

Rehoboth Beach Police Chief Keith Banks tells our sister station, Delaware 105.9, that he hopes Corporal Robert Whitman, who has been on administrative eave since April will be back at work in a couple of weeks, if not sooner.

On April 7th, Whitman was caught on video Tasing and kicking Jeremy Anderson after he resisted arrest.

Anderson pled guilty to that charge, but the case was reviewed internally by Dover Police and criminally by the state.
