By Tom Lehman

Gov. Markell delivers his weekly address/YouTube screenshot.
In his latest weekly address, Gov. Markell says Delawareans should be focused on providing positive opportunities for young people across the state.

Markell recently visited the Walnut Street YMCA in Wilmington to highlight extended hours made possible by state funding, and says similar opportunities like will supplement classroom learning.

"Research shows they improve academic performance, reduce drop-out rates and depression, improve self-control and self-esteem, and prevent risky behaviors such as drug and alcohol use," Markell says.
