The 30th Annual M-S Bike to the Bay is set for September 21st and 22nd.
Linda Risk, Teams Coordinator for Bike to the Bay says, the two day event, which includes courses in distance from 17 to 175 miles, isn't just for hardcore cyclists.
"We do have options for all skill levels and abilities," Risk says. "And as you make your way through Delaware, we have a rest stop every 8 to 12 miles, and every rest stop has a different theme, like a different party theme with different foods from shrimp skewers, to Margaritaville, to scrapple sandwiches."
The Delaware Chapter of the National M-S Society hosts the event, to help raise money to battle multiple sclerosis.
Risk tells WDEL, once people take part in the event, they're hooked.
"They do come back year after year," Risk says. "It's about building relationships, and friendships, and camaraderie. And of course it's a lot of fun, but the big, important message here is that we are helping people with M-S. It's a great event."
