Bear man arrested for graffiti, police look for a second man
By Mellany Armstrong

County police have arrested one man and are looking for another after graffiti was found on DelDOT property.

Police say Tristan Proffitt of Bear and Joseph Pierce of Hockessin, both 20, tagged a DelDOT concrete retention wall in the 1400 block of Old Kennett Road in Wilmington. Police say they identified the two men through evidence collected.

Proffitt turned himself in to police last Friday. He was arraigned and released on $500 unsecured bail. Police are asking the public to help them find Pierce.

County Police Chief Colonel Elmer Setting says graffiti and vandalism continue to be a problem in the county, with damage in the millions of dollars.
