An alleged drug dealer is arrested on the streets of Wilmington.

An officer on patrol in the Riverside neighborhood Tuesday afternoon witnessed a man break away from a group of people loitering, then speed off in a vehicle.

The suspect, 32-year-old Jonathan Pieroski, of Middletown, was pulled over at West 30th and Washington streets.

Police say two empty heroin bags were in the glove compartment and Pieroski was taken into custody without incident.

At police headquarters, officers say they located 13 bags of heroin in Pieroski's right sock.

Pieroski was arraigned and released on $2,700 secured bond.
