Four Lake Forest players ran for touchdowns as the Spartans opened up their 2013 campaign with a 27-3 home victory over Mount Pleasant Friday night.

John Flamer opened the scoring in the first quarter, finding the end zone from 9 yards out to put the hosts up 6-0.

Quarterback Ridgely Betts then broke free for a 10-yard scamper, followed later by DyVaunte Borley's 9-yard run to go up 20-0 at the half.

After Mount Pleasant tacked on a field goal, Cheyenne Rivera scored on a 2 yard run to finish the scoring.

Both teams return to the field next Friday, as Lake Forest travels to Sussex Central at 7:30 and Mount Pleasant visits to Hodgson for a 3:30 matinee.
