Slam Dunk to the Beach HS BB tourney will return
By Mark Fowser

The Slam Dunk to the Beach High School Basketball Tournament is making a comeback.

The holiday season gathering of teams from across the country lasted for about a dozen years at Cape Henlopen High School.

The former director of the tournament discontinued the event shortly before being arrested in Florida for forgery and the tournament has not been played since 2004.

The Delaware Sports Commission will release more information about the return of the Slam Dunk to the Beach next Monday.

LeBron James is just one of the NBA stars who played as a high school star at the tournament.
