2nd UD student faces charges for damaging car

Newark police have arrested a second person who allegedly damaged a car during Monday night's disorderly mob incident.

Stephen Avallone, a University of Delaware student from Newark, was identified as one of two people whom police say climbed on top of a Ford Mustang and damaged the car's roof.

Police say Avallone was identified after release of photos from the incident, which were posted on WDEL.com.

He faces riot, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct charges.

Another person who police say was arrested on Friday.

Police say the car was damaged as a rowdy mob moved through Newark
after police broke up a large party on South College Avenue.
