Man critically injured in Claymont house fire
By Tom Lehman

The State Fire Marshal's office says a man was hospitalized in critical condition after a Sunday night house fire in Claymont.

Firefighters arrived at the 100 block of Honeywell Drive in the Radnor Woods neighborhood around 9 p.m. to a home with heavy smoke and fire coming from inside.

A man who was reported to be trapped inside the home was taken to Christiana Hospital and then transferred to Crozier Hospital in Chester in critical but stable condition.

Investigators say the fire was caused by discarded smoking materials.

Damage is estimated at $100,000.
