By Peter MacArthur 11:41am, September 20, 2013Not one but two weekend events at Winterthur.
The first, called Look of Love features hand painted portraits of individual eyes. Artists use watercolors on small pieces of ivory which are then set in to jewelry. It's an art form dating back to the 18th century.
The exhibition opens at 10 Saturday morning and will be there in the East Gallery until January 5th.
Also, the 7th annual Chic It Up Design Conference is happening. It focuses on how shadow, reflection, even mystery, were used in 20th century interiors. Workshops start Saturday at 9am and on Sunday, attendees can take tours of some private local homes.
