New Castle County Police have arrested a man they say fired a rifle at two people in his home during a heated argument.

It happened about 8 p.m. Saturday in Townsend. Police say 43-year-old Douglas Rolli had a verbal dispute with a relative and the relative's guest. Officers say Rolli fired a rifle in the direction of the two while they sat on a couch in the living room.

The two fled and called 9-1-1.

Police charged Rolli with reckless endangering and aggravated menacing.
