The University of Delaware football team is looking to put Saturday's 62-28 dismantling behind them quickly and get down to preparations for this Saturday's Homecoming clash with the University of Albany.
Coach Dave Brock says it's disappointing the way the Blue Hens played, falling behind early and never really getting back into the game. He said he is also disappointed for the Delaware fans.
Brock said the goal is not letting the Maine loss affect the upcoming game against the Great Danes., who come into Saturday's contest just 1-5, and 0-2 in the CAA.
Brock says Albany has moved the football well but had trouble when they've gotten into the red zone. He says they've also struggled defensively, especially in the red zone.
Brock says his team has had a problem coming out strong, and noted through the first six games, they've been consistently inconsistent...but he notes that's the sign of a work in progress.
Albany is coached by Bob Ford, coaching his 41st season at Albany and 45th overall...with this being his last season. He has said he will step down after this year.
Delaware is 4-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
Kickoff Saturday, for Homecoming, is 12 noon.
