Wilmington police say a 38-year-old city man was arrested on Saturday after officers caught him burglarizing a Trolley Square restaurant.

Officers were called to the 1700 block of Delaware Avenue around 5:15 a.m. in response to a 911 call regarding a burglary at Scratch Magoo's restaurant.

Police say the officers were told the suspect was seen entering the restaurant's basement window from the adjacent alley way.

The officers then went to the back of the restaurant, where police say Eric Moss was seen walking through the door with several bottles of liquor. He was taken into custody without incident and faces theft and burglary charges.

Moss, who is a convicted felon, was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of a $4,000 cash bail.
