Job fair will be held, despite gov't shutdown
By Chris Carl

Even if the government shutdown continues into next week, Delaware's Congressional delegation says their job fair planned for next Thursday will go on as scheduled.

Christiana Mall will be hosing the October 17th job fair - as retailers there gear up for the holiday shopping season.

Senator Tom Carper says, with so many looking for work, it's important that the job fair go on regardless of what happens in Washington.

Senator Chris Coons says Washington gridlock shouldn't stop an event which can make a difference for Delawareans - especially those looking for work.

The job fair will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. next Thursday in front of JC Penny at Christiana Mall.
