Coastal cleanup nets trash, butts and a hockey puck
By Chris Carl

DNREC says last month's annual coastal cleanup picked up nearly four tons of trash - almost half of which was recycled.

More than 1900 volunteers picked up the trash on September 21st at about 50 locations along the coast.

Nearly 23,000 cigarette and cigar butts were collected.

Among the more unusual items found: lawn chairs, a bar stool, a shower head, headphones and a hockey puck.
