Four people shot, two killed, in half-mile radius in Wilmington
By Amy Cherry

A violent weekend spills over into the week in Northwest Wilmington with three separate shootings all happening within a half-mile radius.

The first shooting happened in broad daylight at 4 p.m. Saturday on the 2,300 block of North Washington Street in Wilmington. Police say a 23-year-old convicted drug felon was walking when he was shot in the abdomen. He's in critical, but stable condition.

Hours later, about a half-mile from that shooting, a double murder happened on the 600 block of West 30th Street in Wilmington. Victims Michael Greene and Danielle Bowe were killed there by gunfire Sunday after midnight. They were found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in a car that was involved in an accident near the shooting scene. They were both pronounced dead at Christiana Hospital.

Now, early Monday morning, a 20-year-old woman was shot by stray gunfire as two men were chasing a third person at West 30th and North Washington Streets, less than a half mile from the site of the other shootings. Her injuries aren't life-threatening.

In all of these shootings, police have no suspects.
