VIDEO: Highlights and Reaction to Padua's win over Friends

Padua celebrated their seniors with a 3-0 victory over Wilmington Friends Thursday night.

In front of a packed house for Senior Night, the undefeated Pandas (13-0) jumped ahead 15-5 and didn't look back in a 25-13 opening set.

Friends responded with a strong start to the 2nd frame, getting early kills from Alyssa Nathan and Cassidy Martin and an ace from Nathan which sparked a 12-9 advantage.

The lead would not last however, as Stephanie Annone and Jen Borio both slammed home kills which knotted the match at 14, and then Borio and Jennings went on a 3-kill run to put Padua ahead for good on their way to a 25-17 second set.

Padua claimed the first three points of the final set, and rolled from there to a 25-11 win clinched by senior Ashley Muschiatti's kill off the Friends' block.

Borio finished with 15 kills, Jennings had 9 kills and 9 digs, and Sarah Cushing chipped in 4 kills and 3 aces to go with 21 assists.

Next up for the Pandas is a second meeting with St. Mark's. Padua handed the Spartans their only loss on September 12 in a 3-0 victory.

Nathan had 11 assists and three kills for Friends (4-8).
