Kan. man arrested by U.S. Marshals in Wilmington

A 19-year-old Kansas man who the U.S. Marshals office says was wanted by police on child rape and drug charges is arrested in Wilmington.

The agency says Edwin Ramirez was wanted by police in Johnson County, Kansas for allegedly providing drugs to two teenage girls and then raping one of them in January 2013.

Ramirez was taken into custody by marshals on the 200 block of N. Rodney St around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

He was brought to the Wilmington police headquarters for processing the out of state warrant.
