A Wilmington woman is sent to the hospital, after an early morning shooting just south of the city.

State police say a 24 year old female was walking along the roadway in front of Karibbean Delight Restaurant, when she was struck in the arm by a stray bullet.

Police say she was at the Wilmington restaurant located on 1030 South Market Street around 2:00 a.m.

She was able to get a ride to a local hospital, where she was treated for the non-life-threatening injury.

She was unable to provide any suspect information.

It does not appear that the victim was targeted, and the investigation is ongoing.
