Cop finds trash bag full of used lottery tickets
By Associated Press

County Police are investigating after an officer found a trash bag with hundreds of scratched-off lottery tickets inside.

Police say the officer found the tickets inside a garbage bag Thursday night in a driveway on Third Avenue near Claymont. He was investigating an unrelated incident at a house in the area when he saw lottery tickets through the trash bag.

Police said the tickets ranged from $1 scratch-off tickets to $10 dollar scratch-off tickets.

The resident of the home where the lottery tickets were found told police it wasn't his garbage bag.

Most of the tickets were in sequential order, indicating they are probably stolen, but no thefts of lottery tickets have been reported.
