By Tom Lehman

An 85-year-old woman was hospitalized in critical condition after being injured by a mobile home fire near Dover.

It happened shortly before noon on the unit block of Tall Pines Drive off South State Street.

The state fire marshal's office says firefighters arrived at the mobile home and rescued the woman from the residence.

She was taken to Crozer Burn Center in Upland, Pa. for burns and smoke inhalation. A juvenile who lived in the home was also treated and released from Kent General Hospital.

Heavy fire damage is estimated at $10,000 and fire officials say smoke alarms in the home weren't operational.

A cause and origin of the fire are still being investigated.
