Football title games moving to Delaware Stadium
By Don Voltz

The DIAA Division 1 and 2 football championship games will be moving from Dover to Newark.

The University of Delaware's 22,000 seat Delaware Stadium will host this year's championship games in a doubleheader format, either on Saturday November 30 or Sunday, December 1st.

The date depends on whether the Blue Hens make the FCS playoffs and get a first round home game.

The Division 2 game will be played first followed by the Division 1 game and one $8 ticket gets fans in to both games.

Times for the two games have not been announced.

Delaware last hosted the state football championship game from 1971 to 1974 with the game being played at various high school sites and Delaware State's Alumni Stadium for the last several years.
