St. Georges wins shootout over Indian River

St. Georges was aided by five rushing touchdowns with three from Scooter Selby as they beat Indian River 42-35 Friday night.
Selby's 2-yard run in the fourth quarter put his team in the lead for good. Scooter's other two rushing touchdowns came in the third on an 80-yard run and in the first on a 1-yard run, all three scores gave his team the lead.
The Hawks also had great production from their fullback Logan Gilbert who had two rushing touchdowns and their defense which forced four interceptions.
The Indians were lead by their quarterback Spencer Murray who ran for three touchdowns and threw for one on a 30-yard pass to Jake Troublefield.
The Hawks improved to 10-1 on the season and move on to the semifinals of the DIAA Football Tournament. The Indians finish the season 6-5.
