Coons pushes for unemployment extension

County Executive Chris Coons
New Castle County Executive Chris Coons presses for an extension of unemployment insurance on the heels of Friday's disheartening jobs report.

Coons says with another 125,000 people out of work, and 600,000 more who've simply stopped looking for a job, Washington must do more.

He says Sallie Mae's decision to move its corporate headquarters from Virginia to Delaware shows the state's commitment to job preservation and growth, but now we help from the federal government.

Coons is asking Washington to wake up, end the partisan games, and extend unemployment insurance to the growing number of Americans, who are jobless.
