It was a special night at the Flyers for the family of Matthew Windish, and not because they got to see an Orange and Black victory.

Private First Class Windish of Wilmington arranged through the Flyers to surprise his family during a second period break of Thursday's game with Montreal.

His family thought the team was honoring Matthew in a video tribute, but instead a gift-wrapped box opened and there was their beloved family member.

Windish is in his second year of service with the Army, and had been serving a year-long tour of duty in Korea as a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic.
