State Fire Mashal's office investigates 2nd fatal fire

The State Fire Marshal’s office investigates the second fatal fire of the day.

Fire investigators say, a fire in Ogletown broke out just before 2 p.m. at the 300 block of Tamara Circle near Harmony Road.

Fire companies responded to the blaze and found one person dead inside a split level home.

Fire investigators say this fire and the Brandywine Hundred fire that happened around 4:30 a.m. are not related.

The Chief Medical Examiner will conduct the autopsy tomorrow.

There were no other injuries reported.

Heavy fire damage was estimated at $100,000, and the American Red Cross has been called to assist two surviving family members.
