Blue Hen women advance in Lehigh tournament
By Sean Greene

Delaware women's basketball forced 21 turnovers in a 69-48 victory over Youngstown State in the opening round of the Christmas City Classic at Lehigh University Friday night.

The Blue Hens (7-2) jumped out to a 32-27 lead at halftime, and used its traditionally tough defense to keep the Penguins (3-7) to just 21 points in the 2nd half.

Seniors Kelsey Buchanan and Akeema Richards led the Blue Hens with 17 and 12 points, with each grabbing 5 rebounds.

Delaware will face host Lehigh, an 87-78 winner over Vermont, in the championship game Saturday at 4pm.
