State Police investigating Seaford home invasion
By Associated Press

Delaware State Police troopers are investigating a home invasion in Seaford.

Troopers say it happened at about 8:30 p.m. Friday when a man armed with a knife entered a home in the 2300 block of Young Street. Troopers say a 53-year-old woman was at the home cleaning when the man entered through the front door and demanded money.

Troopers say the woman told the man she didn't have any money, but he grabbed her purse from the couch. The woman then allegedly tried to stop the suspect, and he punched her in the face, causing her to fall through some closet doors. Troopers say emergency responders checked the woman out on the scene and released her.

Troopers say the man was wearing a black ski mask and black clothing.
