A couple was arrested and charged after officers seized more than 1,600 bags of heroin from a car and a home in Claymont, police said.

New Castle County Police say officers stopped a car driven by 23-year-old Martin Green near the Stoneybrook Apartment Complex on Tuesday.

Officers turned up 67 bags of heroin in Green's clothes along with another 255 bags and an undisclosed amount of money in the car, police said.

Police say officers searched Green's home and found more than 1,300 bags of heroin valued at more than $11,000.
