Fifth Delawarean dies from H1N1 flu

A 60-year-old New Castle County man is the 5th Delawarean to die from H1N1 flu.

The State Division of Public Health says the man, who was hospitalized October 26th, had several underlying conditions, as did the 4 other Delawareans who've died from H1N1.

DPH Director Doctor Karyl Rattay says signs of a serious flu infection in an adult include difficulty breathing, pain or pressure in the chest or abdomen, sudden dizziness and severe or persistent vomiting.

Rattay says people with chronic health conditions including asthma, diabetes, heart diesease and weakened immune systems are at highest risk of developing complicationd from H1N1 flu.
