Wilmington police have charged a 25-year-old city man with attempted murder in a shooting that critically injured another man last month.

City police said Anmed Ifill was identified through "investigative techniques" as the suspect behind a shooting in broad daylight at the 1300 block of Vandever Avenue on Jan. 13.

The victim was shot in the head and left bleeding on the sidewalk, police said.

Ifill was already incarcerated at the Howard Young prison on unrelated charges when police booked him on Wednesday. He's being held on an additional 400-thousand-dollars cash bail.
