More snowfall is expected starting Wednesday night as another big winter storm is forecast to hit Delaware.

A winter storm warning has been posted for 10 p.m. Wednesday through 1 a.m. Friday.

Meteorologist Danielle Knittle says the system should move into our area sometime between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. Wednesday and continue into Thursday night.

"Four to eight inches around the Wilmington area but you don't have to go to far off to our north and west, where we could be talking about maybe almost a foot or so of accumulation," she says.

The Delaware beaches can expect one to three inches of snow.

Some warm air could briefly cause the snow to change over into sleet or plain rain Thursday afternoon.
