Two suspects are in custody after allegedly breaking into their neighbors' homes.

State Police say a man on the 2700 block of Newport Gap Pike in Wilmington reported his home had been broken into around 11 a.m. Monday while he was upstairs, though nothing had been taken.

Around that same time, another break-in was reported on the block, this time jewelry and other items were missing.

After canvassing the neighborhood, Troopers say they located Edgar White, 46, and Edward Mattingly, 39, who were in possession of the missing items.

White and Mattingly, who both live on the 2700 block of Newport Gap Pike, were arrested and charged with burglary and other offenses.
